The Fire Brigade Employees Union has today announced its endorsement of serving firefighter and Greens member, James Ryan in his bid for the state seat of Cessnock in this month’s State election.
FBEU NSW Secretary Jim Casey said James Ryan would make a constructive, intelligent and progressive contribution to the NSW parliament, if elected.
"Our politicians are far too often professional spivs parachuted into the electorates that they profess to serve,” Mr Casey said.
“James Ryan is the opposite - a member of his local community, a firefighter, and a union member. The FBEU happily endorses James for the 2011 election, knowing that he is a genuine candidate who will fight for the best outcome for his community.”
