Genetically Engineered Organisms in Production of Pharmaceuticals Policy

- The use of GE technology for the purpose of producing pharmaceuticals should be supported where such products are labelled and subject to rigorous safeguards.
- Moratoria on the use of GE products should not apply to pharmaceutical products as they could be a greater threat to public health than not having them made available.
- Public funds should be allocated for increased research into these procedures.
