East Hills
Michael Tierney
Greens candidate for East Hills
Michael Tierney is actively involved in
promoting green energy, and he has been installing solar panels locally for 9 years.
"The key election issues for The Greens include clean energy solutions to global warming, quality public health, transport and education services, water use efficiency, protecting the natural and built
environment and workers' rights.
"A key local issue for The Greens is public transport. We believe more people would use public transport if it could be made quicker, cheaper and more accessible. The Greens will campaign hard on this issue.
"Although there are many issues we need to address but the most urgent and critical is that of climate change. Talk of developing clean coal or introducing nuclear power are diversions. We need to invest in and implement clean, sustainable energies because if we don't there will be a disastrous impact on our society and the planet. We need to provide a future for our children." Said Tierney
Michael has lived around the East Hills area for 6 years with his wife and 3 year old daughter.
