Liverpool
Bill Cashman
Greens candidate for Liverpool
The neglect of Sydney's Western Suburbs by successive state and federal governments has made Bill Cashman realise The Greens have the best policies for his neighbourhood. As a lifelong resident of southwest Sydney Bill is concerned that an entrenched Labor government would become even more complacent.
For many years Bill have been involved in football coaching and administration. He is the former President of the old Smithfield Hotspurs Club (where Harry Kewell played his junior football) and was intrinsically involved in saving the club and building it from two teams to around 30 today. Bill is also the director and co-founder of Granville Rage State League and Youth League soccer club.
After a successful career in IT, holding national responsibilities in one of the world's largest technology companies, Bill moved into Human Resources, and had Asia/Pacific development responsibility for one of world's leading technology research company. He now works in a local organisation in charge of Human Resources.
