Welcome to the Australian Young Greens! We’re a national group of young, enthusiastic and progressive activists who are supporters of the political party, the Greens.
The Australian Young Greens is a network of various state Young Greens groups. Each one of these state groups are involved in campaigns on various progressive issues, promotion of the Greens and hold social events and meetings. They also act as a link between the political party and young people who are keen on getting involved.
However, the Greens recognise that change cannot truly come from Parliament House itself. It starts with grassroots activism from the outside, which creates pressure on our politicians in the inside and popular support. This is why many members of the Young Greens are not just volunteers contributing to the party, but are also involved in creating and fostering movements in collectives and networks on various issues we are passionate for.
How can I get involved?
- Contact the NSW Young Greens group to check out events and meetings.

And if you study at a university campus, also email your local campus group.
- Become an active volunteer for the Greens. This can be done through the NSW Young Greens, your local campus group or through your local branch.
- And if you’re keen, join the Greens, so that you can be a seriously active volunteer, play your role in directly forming Green policies and get the heads up from the Greens office on what’s going on.
